Lydia Botha

Lydia Botha is a manager at Dovetail Consulting Group. She brings to the Dovetail team over a decade of experience in pharmaceutical compliance and finance, including international compliance policy development and third-party risk management.

Prior to joining Dovetail, Lydia held the position of Compliance Manager at AbbVie Inc., where she led the global third-party due diligence program and contributed to strategic initiatives focused on distributor governance.  In this role, she was also the primary compliance business partner for the company’s early pipeline commercialization teams and supported key global commercial operations initiatives. Before moving to the US, Lydia was responsible for establishing the compliance program for AbbVie’s South African affiliate, providing compliance leadership on government regulations including anti-corruption laws, and national, regional & global industry codes across Sub Saharan Africa covering 26 countries. Lydia also worked in the private banking sector at Rand Merchant Bank, South Africa, prior to entering the pharmaceutical industry in 2007.

A strong believer in using time productively in the workplace, Lydia is adept at developing agile integrated business processes and tools, receiving multiple in-house compliance and commercial awards for transformational compliance initiatives.

Lydia earned a Bachelor of Commerce in Financial Management and Bachelor of Commerce with Honors in Business Management, both from the North-West University in South Africa. She enjoys a good book or watching tennis but can also be found traveling or wandering the outdoors.
